About the MirrorAbout This Site

Psychology is a mirror — an extension of cognition. This is a growing learning site: this chapter is Jung; more stands behind the mirror.

What this is

A learning site for Jungian psychology: thirteen concepts composing an online textbook, with a constellation map, life applications and practices, in English and Chinese, free to read. It is written like a book — concepts interlink, so you may read in order or enter from any point on the star map.

How to use it

Read the concepts in numbered order, like a book; when lost, return to the Constellation to see the relations; after each chapter, try the three reflection questions; then use the Practices to turn reading into daily work.

Stance & limits

Jungian theory belongs to the hermeneutic tradition of depth psychology, not evidence-based medicine. This site deliberately distinguishes "Jung held" from "research shows," and labels scientific controversy honestly (synchronicity, MBTI reliability). Nothing here is clinical advice — in an emotional crisis, please seek professional help.

Sources

The IAAP short articles series, Encyclopædia Britannica, Jung's Collected Works and Letters, Memories, Dreams, Reflections, Man and His Symbols, the word association literature, and classic Jungian authors (Murray Stein, James Hollis, Marie-Louise von Franz). All quotes are source-checked; misattributions are labeled as such.
